The MDDA welcomes Nomkhosi Peter as the new Acting Chief Executive Officer

The Media Development & Diversity Agency (MDDA) is pleased to welcome Ms Nomkhosi Peter as the new caretaker Chief Executive Officer.
Ms Peter has been seconded from the shareholder department of the Government Communication and Information System (GCIS where she is the Chief Director: Strategic Planning, Risk Management, Performance Monitoring and Reporting.
She brings with her a strong set of skills in innovation and business development, policy formulation, operations management, and legal/ regulatory compliance.
Ms Peter holds an M. Sc (Med) in Bioethics and Health Law from Wits, Postgraduate Diploma in Compliance from the University of Johannesburg, a MDP from UNISA School of Business Leadership as well as a B.Sc. in Biotechnology from the University of the Western Cape (UWC). Not resting on her laurels, Ms Peter is already pursuing a Master of Philosophy in Corporate Strategy, through Gibs (Gordon Institute of Business Science).
The MDDA commented, “We are pleased to have Ms Peter as our Acting Chief Executive Officer, she is joining the agency at a crucial time in the development of community media. The sector is facing significant changes, due to, amongst others, the rapid technological advances, tightening economic conditions, and the need for media to play a greater public information role. Furthermore, her experience and leadership are well suited to stabilising the organising and improving the overall corporate governance, processes and systems of the Agency.
