SAPS NC appoints Brig Lamoen as head of detectives
The Northern Cape Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Services, Lieutenant General Koliswa Otola has confirmed the appointment of Brigadier Lindikhaya Lamoen as the new Provincial Head for Crime Investigation Services for the province.
The Provincial Commissioner made the announcement on Monday, 6 November at the provincial head office of the South African Police Services in Kimberley. Otola was accompanied by her deputies, Major General Henriette De Waal and Major General Luntu Ngubelanga as they conferred new epaulets on Brigadier Lamoen in the presence of senior managers.
Brig Lamoen joined SAPS in 1994. He has a wealth of experience in policing and the detective environment. Lamoen holds a National Diploma and a Baccalaureus Technologiae degree in Policing. He has also qualified in several courses presented by the SAPS.
His appointment is effective from 01 November 2023. Lamoen will oversee the detective services throughout the Northern Cape.
Otola said: “His (Brig Lamoen’s) appointment is a great inspiration for many members within the organization and will surely boost the great work done by the detectives. He will share his knowledge and experience with his juniors and external roleplayers in the detective environment. Congratulations to Brig Lamoen. We wish him well in his new journey.”
