On Monday, 22 January 2024 at about 12:00 a 57 year old farm owner reported that his water pump with an estimated value of R25000 was allegedly stolen.
On Tuesday, 23 January 2024 at approximately 20:00 , two men aged 20 and 25 years old were arrested.
They were arrested after information led the police to a local scrapyard. A water pump that was already shredded into pieces was seized.
The owner later positively identified the property as is and also commended the Deben SAPS members for their swift response which led to the apprehension of tje suspects and recovery of the stolen property.
The suspects will appear in the Kathu magistrate Court soon on a charge of theft. Ends
