Galeshewe celebrates love!

By Karabo Siyoko

The newly established Nthatu Events Management Solutions recently celebrated love by hosting an intimate afternoon filled with good music, delicious food, and motivational speeches in Galeshewe.

Hosts, Tumi Motlhatlhedi and Angie Kgathole said, “the purpose of the event is for the guests to be informed, happy and celebrate life”. The theme for the day was “love affairs”.

Singles and couples attended including sixteen members from the House of Worship who came all the way from the Free State. The group consists of members from Lesotho, Bloemfontein, Dealsvile and Boshoff.

Guest speakers included Pastor Warren Thys and his wife Momokete Thys, a Social Worker who spoke extensively on issues of Gender-Based Violence.

Apostle Molaodi Semunza and prophetess Pholoho Semunza, a vibrant couple, met 27 years ago at university and have been married for 20 years. The apostle expressed the importance of unity.  He quoted from Amos: 3, “How can two walk together unless they are in agreement”?   He encouraged forgiveness and giving your lives and problems to God for restoration.  “Give all your battles unto God”, he lamented.

The beautiful prophetess Semunza proudly declared, “marriage moulded and shaped me into the woman I am today.  From an 18-year-old girl to a woman and a mother”. Prophetess Semunza gave tips to couples on how to make their marriages work.  She mentioned friendship in marriage, knowing and understanding one another.

“When you think of marriage, you must be whole and complete first as God brings two whole people together.  Do not enter marriage thinking the other person will complete you.  My husband does not make me happy.  I am already a happy person and when we came together we became a well of happiness”, she said.

“Serve your wife and serve your husband.  Let us learn not to count scores of who did what for the other and who did not do anything”, she concluded.

An elderly couple, Jeremiah and Mamonyinyane Shuping (parents to the late Pastor Mohau Shuping), shared their love and life story. The couple has known each other for 60 years.  Their love spans back to when Mamonyinyane was in Sunday school and Jeremiah was her teacher.

Jeremiah explained the importance of two people working together to make their marriage work.  He said the husband should not always be in a sour mood for the family to have a happy home.  “Play with your children and wife to create fond memories”.

Nthatu events promised to keep families together by commemorating all special occasions.
