The police in Galeshewe have identified the decomposing body of a female found near the “Goga pump” station along the Barkley West R31 road on Friday, 23 December.
On 6 January, the police requested the public’s assistance in identifying the deceased. The deceased was estimated to be in her early sixties. She had two teeth in her mouth, was 1.58 meters tall, and wore a blueish jersey top.
Galeshewe communications Sergeant Timothy Sam confirmed the deceased was identified by family members on Monday, 9 January but were still investigating the circumstances around the death of the deceased.
“It is a common rule from SAPS to the public to remember that there is no waiting period to report a missing person” Sam said.
