The Northern Cape Department of Education will host its Provincial Pledge Signing Ceremony on Monday, 24 October 2022 at the Thabo Moorosi Multipurpose Hall (Mothibistad)in the John Taolo Gaetsewe .This a momentous occasion, where more than 2000 Grade 12 learners will undertake a pledge for a National Senior Certificate Examination, free of any irregularity.
The Northern Cape Department of Education continues to improve appropriate standards and strengthen initiatives to deepen the maturity of the Examination Assessment system. We have continued to identify and curb threats to mitigate the Examination and Assessment’s credibility.
On this day, the MEC for Education, Zolile Monakali will officiate the Provincial Pledge Signing Ceremony. The rationale for the pledge is to assist with the curbing and control of examination irregularities and an attempt to adopt a more proactive rather than reactive approach to reducing examination irregularities.
