The Sol Plaatje Local Municipality is excited to announce its partnership with Easypay, a leading digital payment solutions provider, to facilitate convenient and efficient digital bill payments for residents. The system came into effect from Friday 31 May 2024. This significant digital transaction step confirms the municipality’s commitment to leverage technology for enhanced e- services and streamlined payment processes.
In expressing his enthusiasm for this development, the Municipal Manager, Thapelo Matlala stated: “We are thrilled to launch this new digital payment system in collaboration with Easypay. This initiative is a testament to our ongoing efforts to modernize municipal services and make everyday tasks more convenient for our residents, especially the ratepayers. We believe that this system will not only improve payment efficiency but also customer satisfaction.”
Sol Plaatje Local Municipality residents can now pay their municipal bills online through the Easypay platform, www.solplaatje.online. This new service allows for a range of cashless payment options, including debit and credit cards, EFT, and mobile payments, ensuring residents can settle their accounts quickly and securely from the comfort of their homes or workplaces.
Clients are encouraged to register for this service at the Municipality’s website.
The introduction of digital bill payments is expected to significantly reduce the long queues traditionally associated with municipal payment offices. By offering a fast, reliable and user-friendly payment method, the municipality aims to improve overall efficiency and provide a cashless and convenient experience.
